SLOW COOKER

DO A KICKFLIP

Drug Party Tapes & Slow Cooker, Share Exclusively With Musicology Their Video For 'Fix It'.

SLOW COOKER

Hailing from Buffalo, N.Y. Slow Cooker are set to release their debut LP Do A Kickflip, on Drug Party Tapes. ”Do a Kickflip“ is a meditation on trying, reaching and falling more than landing, a celebration of getting up again, ultimately sounding like metal and urethane on a waxed curb.

Forming in 2015 by old friends as a surefire way to get evicted from their apartment, the band members Ian McCrohan, Joe McGrath, Andy Krzystek, and Adam Malchoff have been channeling garage rock through the erratic energy of early hardcore punk, their sound has been compared to the Dead Kennedys, B-52s and even “Fugazi trying to wear Bruce Springsteen’s jeans.”

“Devoid of pretense and sort of sweaty, Slow Cooker keeps punk weird. playing like a house party in reverse. The kind of house where there are three empty beers on the bathroom sink(two serving as ashtrays)and an apple, half-lumped, draining in the bathtub; the kind of party where, three-quarters through the night, the energy turns manic instead of dissipating and everybody shares the same fever. ”
